Globus Bus Tour, Italy |

First of all, let us say that Globus Tours were absolutley first rate. Their service, attention to detail and tour guides were top notch. As you know, we were a bit doubtful about going on a coach tour at first, but after this trip we have changed our minds and would book with Globus again. The pictures are Ostia, (the old port of Rome) Venice, Burano (where we purchased some beautiful lace) and a wine tasting at Verazzano Castle in Tuscany. The optional add on excursions offered by Globus were extremely good value and alot of fun ( as you can see from the picture of the wine tasting). There were four Canadians including us, and the other 40 were from all over the US. Unfortunately, Globus has started using a Sheraton hotel in Florence, which is a North American type hotel on the outskirts of the city and after all of the other central, character hotels this was the only disappointing element of the trip. The "humble" 14th century family run hotel next to the Cathedral in Assisi was perfect, in our opinion. Our tour director - Remo - was professional in every way and added so much to the trip!
We could go on and on, but the bottom line is we are glad we chose this option for our Italian holiday. (The river cruises of Europe look interesting for our next trip)
Thanks for all your help with Mexico and Italy.
