The vacation was great. The free upgrade to a 1 bdrm was a bit different. The one bdrm was at the far end and was small with a small balcony. It was different than the usual large (wide) 1 bedroom we pay for. We had two single beds rather than the nice king size bed.
I did ask about moving but they could not accommodate it the first day and after the first day I am in vacation mode and don't really care about much. So we didn't move. We were really fine with the room and it was all we needed. My sister had a large balcony with the ocean view... so we spent our time in her room.
All inclusive - it was our first time for all inclusive. I liked trying all the drinks around the pool and I made an effort to actually drink. The food was good but really only two restaurants... they were good... although I think everyone at all resorts gets a bit tired of the food by the end. I could never get tired of chips with salsa and guacamole! I am a vegetarian and once we found a waiter at each meal who knew us they were very helpful. Some of the waiters were really good.
The rooms were always clean. They forgot to fill our fridge a couple of times which my son was not impressed with. Sam loved room service and used it often.
Our flight was not until 1 a.m. on Sunday so late check out was at 12. They offered us the option of paying $50US for each person to have a room until later or we could use the hospitality room to change. We choose the hospitality room (which was just an unclean room with fresh towels). We had our last swim late in the day and ate and then used the hospitality room for our allotted 45 min. We spent the evening at the marina and then were off to the airport.
I have never been bothered by any time share people at the hotel as I always avoid the initial meeting about the resort. They do a follow-up call the following day but I always miss that as well and then they seem to just leave me alone.
I'm not sure if we like all inclusive in PV. They have so many restaurants and we did go out to eat a couple of evenings because we have some favourite places to go.
So overall it was a great vacation.
